I am a Cape Town based photographer specializing in children’s portraits, children’s fashion photography and lifestyle photography. Photography has been an enduring passion for me ever since early childhood and it continues to inspire me. Portrait photography is a wonderful collaboration between the photographer and the subject and both learn about themselves with every shoot. I particularly aspire to capturing children in all their complexity as people, not just traditional poses and smiles. Every session is a memorable experience. There’s the excitement of the planning phase, choosing the location and styling and exchanging ideas. The session itself often flies by far too quickly and can be full of unexpected possibilities. Photo editing is the next stage of the process and I’ve come to enjoy it just as much as taking the photographs. It’s a way of enhancing the range of light and colors the camera can capture and of further shaping the story that the image is telling.
